Child Welfare is the provision of supplementary nutrition, basic nutrition, and therapeutic nutrition to children aged 0 to 6 years in a total of 878 Anganwadi centers in this district in rural areas. It also includes providing supplementary nutrition to breastfeeding mothers, referral services to malnourished children, supplementary nutrition to pregnant mothers in rural areas, health check-ups, pre-school education to children aged 3 to 6, and nutrition and health education to adolescent girls. Additionally, this department handles establishment matters related to employees working under it.
