Introduction

To take preventive measures related to the health of people in rural areas through the Health Department and to provide 50 types of health services, preventive and curative measures, in various age groups from the time a woman becomes pregnant to the time of the birth of a child until the death of that person under reproductive and child health, and to implement measures to provide comprehensive health with the participation of the people.

Similarly, to implement 6 national programs of the government. For this, to provide treatment services to all citizens with the participation of primary health centers, sub-centers, allopathic clinics, Ayurvedic clinics, and health teams.

Also, under the national program, family welfare control related to health is included. Health workers go door to door to provide services regarding fever control, polio, leprosy, maternal and child care, eye examination, tuberculosis control, blindness prevention, AIDS awareness, etc.

The Z.P. Health Department plans all health programs and controls health service matters. To make immediate plans for dealing with sudden outbreaks of diseases in the district, as well as to take action regarding the services of health workers.

Vision & Mission

To provide medical services to every person in rural areas at the primary health sub-centre and primary health centre level and to provide benefits of health schemes.
To supervise the establishment of health cadres in the district and the establishment of health departments.
To supervise and control the medical officers and employees under the Maharashtra Medical Service and Health Services.
To supervise and control the health departments and regional cadres of the District Council.
To reduce maternal and child mortality rates.
