Education Primary Department

Introduction

Education Department, District Akola, is responsible for the administration of primary, secondary and school teachers in all districts, and the supervisory system is responsible for supervision, control and evaluation. Zilla Parishad schools and private primary schools are under this department.
It is the policy of the government to provide education facilities in every village in the district and the Education Department is committed to this. All teachers should make tireless efforts to enroll every child between the ages of 6 and 14 in school. This is intended and this valuable work is done in collaboration with the Village Education Committee at the village level.
Many schemes are implemented through this department for the welfare of students. These include district sports competitions, science exhibitions, uniforms and writing materials, attendance allowance, school nutrition scheme, scholarships, etc. For students who are unable to attend regular schools, Mahatma Phule Education Guarantee Scheme, settlement schools, etc. Special and innovative alternative education is arranged through this department.

Establishment Matters

through Sectional Officer,Sr. & Jr. Superintendents, Deputy Education Officer (Establishment) are submitted to Education Officer Primary for final decision / approval.

Accounting Matters

Through Junior Accounts Officer, Superintendent Gazetted, Accounts Officer and Deputy Education Officer are submitted to the Education Officer Primary for final decision and approval.

It is the responsibility of the staff of the concerned office to receive and submit the information/reports from the taluka level and to supervise these works and to keep the records up-to-date in their possession.

Objectives & Functions

Education Committee Meeting

There is a provision to hold education committee meetings from time to time. All Zilla Parishad members in Education Committee participate in the working of this meeting. This meeting is organized by the Education Department. The subject paper notice for the Education Committee meeting is sent 10 days before the meeting. Minutes of the meeting are taken and finalized with the approval of Hon’ble Chairman, Education Committee and sent to all honorable members.
