    DISTRICT RURAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY, AKOLA

    The District Rural Development Authority was established in 1984 under the registration of an autonomous organization under the auspices of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department of the Government to implement various schemes at the rural level.

    Schemes implemented through District Rural Development Agency office mainly include Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission Scheme (WSHG), Rural Housing Schemes. The work of implementing welfare schemes for families below the poverty line in the district is done through this office. The District Rural Development Agency office works to alleviate the poverty of the families below the poverty line in the rural areas and raise their standard of living.

    Under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin from 2016-17 to 2023-24, a total of 46440 households have been received and 100% beneficiaries have been approved, out of which 43855 households have been completed. The aim is to complete the remaining 2585 incomplete households. Also, the remaining 29065 beneficiaries under Awaas Plus Form D will be allotted houses as per the purpose received through the State Housing Office.
