Under the Animal Husbandry Department -Distribution of Goat Groups (5+1 Goat Unit) to General Beneficiaries

Objectives of the Scheme :

• To promote meat production in the district.
• To provide a source of income to general beneficiaries through self-employment.

Nature of the Scheme :

• Distribution of goat groups (5+1 unit) with a 50% subsidy.
• Subsidy amount: ₹19,500/-

Eligibility Criteria for Beneficiaries :

• The beneficiary’s annual income must be within ₹50,000.
• Beneficiaries below the poverty line (BPL)
• Marginal landholding farmers
• Small landholding farmers

Beneficiaries from women self-help groups (30% reservation for women, 5% for persons with disabilities)
